A Word From Ron – Everlasting and Enduring

Throughout history, every country in the world has at some point been led by a corrupt leader, government, or military. Some have to wait until an entire new country is formed or a split of some sort to see freedom from that oppression. Even putting aside party governments where particular interests are achieved during that party’s season of government, there is still no country that hasn’t seen its share of corruption.

What we see in our current generation, as exhausting as it is to endure, is that we are not the only generation to have its share of shortcomings in leadership. Just when we see one government finally seem to be back on track another one emerges corrupt.

For those of us who believe in the name of Jesus our Savior, its refreshing to know that there is one kingdom that we can look forward that is not corrupt, and never will be.

All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. Psalm 145:10–13. KJV

The Psalmist in verses 12 and 13, gives us a welcome reminder of something we can look forward to. First, that there is a place, a country, a kingdom that won’t change, that doesn’t need to change because it is already perfect. That kingdom is the kingdom of God. Secondly, it is led by someone worthy and capable of leading, and that won’t need to change either. We can be rest assured that that ruler is fair, just, good, trustworthy and will endure throughout all generations.

In a day and age where one can hardly even read or listen to the news without getting anxiety and discouragement about those put in leadership over the place we call home, seemingly changing each time for the worse. I can’t wait for the day when I can put all that dissatisfaction and disappointment behind me and simply live in eternal peace under THE KING in HIS KINGDOM that is everlasting and endures for all generations.
