99 Adventures Training Chapter 7 – Interactive Teaching
Print the following papers to be used with the lesson below.
Response
Work on the Adventure number 7 in the curriculum book, like that students have been instructed to work on in the lesson.
It is a lot more fun to have the kids involved in the lesson in some way.
Interactive teaching reaches students who learn best in different ways like hearing, seeing, being involved by using their whole bodies. People remember more of what they DO than just what they HEAR.
Assignment: Choose a lesson from the curriculum, prepare for it well and then find a situation in which you can (practice) teach the whole lesson. This could be with your own kids one night, or ask to teach the lesson to a class in your church during a service or gather your friends with kids to your house one night for the purpose of teaching your lesson. After you have completed that assignment, write a summary of your experience by answering questions like, What you might do differently? Did you do something that turned out to be very effective and tell us what you did. Did you enjoy this method of teaching? How might 99 Adventures be used other than Children’s Church? You will upload your document in the next quiz below.
